Margin and inventory alerts
Problems surfaced before they cost you.
A margin slipping, a vendor drifting, stock about to run out. The numbers are already in your systems, buried in reports nobody has time to read. We watch them for you and send a short, plain-language heads-up to the right person when something changes.
Example: a Monday morning heads-up

What your team seesSample data
- Needs a look: Hex bolts, 3/8 in.: margin down from 31% to 22% after a vendor price increase
- Needs a look: Midwest Steel Supply: 3 invoices in a row above the PO price
- Needs a look: Part 7731-B: 9 days of stock left, next receipt due in 14 days
- Your other top 50 products are within their normal range
Four lines, each with the numbers behind it, sent to the people who can act on them.
Names and numbers in this example are made up for illustration.
How it works
Connect to the data you already have
Orders, purchases, receipts and inventory are read from your ERP, your accounting system, or the spreadsheets you already export.
Learn what normal looks like
Typical margins by product and customer, usual vendor prices, and normal stock levels and lead times are worked out from your own history.
Flag what changes
Margins that slip, vendor prices that creep up, stock heading below what open orders need, and late or short shipments are caught as they happen.
Tell the right person, in plain words
A short note goes to whoever can act on it, by email, Slack or a simple dashboard, with the numbers behind it. You choose who hears about what.
The numbers are there. Nobody has time to look.
Most shops already have the data to spot trouble early. Every order, purchase and receipt is in the ERP. The problem is time. Reports get run at month end, if at all, and by then a part has been sold below cost for weeks or a vendor has raised prices three orders in a row.
The people who would notice are the same people buried in order entry and invoices. So problems surface the expensive way: a customer calls about a stockout, or the accountant asks why margin dropped last quarter.
You don't need another dashboard that nobody opens. You need the numbers watched, and a plain note when one of them moves.
What we can watch
- Margin by product, customer and order
- Vendor prices against your POs and past purchases
- Stock levels against open orders and lead times
- Late, short or partial shipments from vendors
- Open quotes that are going stale
Common questions
Is this another dashboard we have to check?
No. The point is that you don't have to check anything. You get a short note when something needs attention. A simple dashboard is there if you want one.
Where does the data come from?
From the systems you already run, usually your ERP or accounting software, or the spreadsheets you already export. We confirm the connection during the free audit.
Who decides what counts as a problem?
You do. We start with sensible limits, like a margin drop of more than a few points, and adjust them with you so alerts stay useful instead of noisy.
Will we get flooded with alerts?
No. Alerts are grouped into a short digest by default, and urgent items like a likely stockout are sent right away. If something gets noisy, we tune it.
How long is the pilot?
2 to 3 weeks on your real data, usually starting with one area such as margins or stock levels.
